How does the story Freedom River connect to Human Rights?

The story "Freedom River" is linked to Human Rights because in the story, people were taking advantage of the river because of the amount of freedom they have. They polluted the river and they were selfish. The people didn't want to change unless they were given something in return. People was also discriminated because of their races and age. Some of the other people didn't want them to enter their "territory" because of their different skin color.
